Day 359.2 – Family time

We headed to the Christmas service tonight and I sat with my 2 goddaughters who are with us this Christmas. What a lovely family time!

Day 354.2 – too hot needed to change!

Luckily family Christmas was just around the corner so it was easy to go home and change into something cool and comfy still as yet unworn!

It also meant I was appropriately dressed to pop into a friend’s Christmas party at Coorparoo Bowls Club for a spot of Glow Bowls!

Day 353 – dreaming of holidays

Hand-me-down skirt from mum by Trent Resort and black Zara T to make me feel like I’m wearing my own clothes! Another “need to wear my Birks” day … I guess it’s just that time of year!

Day 350 – Festivities

After breakfast at the Powerhouse and a wander by the river,

I headed to Ikea with Mum to get the last supplies before our Christmas visitors arrive. Look who we bumped into!

Day 343.2 – Diana Vreeland – Be Inspired to Make Beauty

A splash of red, a hand-me-down Zara frock from my big sister, a glass of wine and an outing with my Mum made the perfect setting for the inspirational afternoon I had delighting in gorgeous images of clothes and models and the artistry of the story your clothes tell about you and the life that you live and love. My year of telling my story through my wardrobe is nearly over but I look forward to many more years of sharing stories and wearing clothes that have been loved by others before me and brand-new clothes making brand new looks and starting new stories.

Check out this documentary if you love clothes and storytelling as much as I do.

Day 338 – The Mullet Wardrobe Returns

I started the day at work but was asked to leave a moment later as a rash on my hand from too much weekend cleaning was mistaken for hand foot and mouth disease. As it is super contagious obviously no one can have anything like that and be at school. Didn’t even have time to get a pic before I was sent home!
Needless to say, once you see the pic, I left the top of my work outfit on – Zara and birthday necklace – and switched to Sportsgirl shorts on the bottom because it was hot. Then I finished the massive “To Do” list of things that didn’t get done amongst all the washing and trips up and down to the clothes line at the weekend. Oh and birthday partying at Radio Lollipop.

I was totally in business mode up the top where it counts and chilled and cool in the bottom. Got lots done and got the all clear to go back to work.

Day 318 – All Black

Keeping the Kiwi spirit going a little bit longer after Sweet As Sunday NZ day.
