Day 270 – Summer Berries

My first trip to whole shop of Petites was Talbots Petites in Austin, Texas and very successful too – this purple dress gets a look in in every season!
My Gap cardi was part of a twin set with a hot pink tank underneath. It didn’t last nearly as long as the cardigan ie since about 1998 from the Gap store next to the school I taught at in London. I probably should have thrown it out years ago but there are just too many lovely memories.
Oh and you know how I’m always banging on about the power of fashion? Well this morning I was really struggling with pain in my back but I put on this colour combo of favourite berry colours and felt instantly better and had the Power of Greyskull to get to work.

Day 234 – Gold Coast Day

Every time I visit the Gap outlet store outside of Austin, Texas I find a great $4 T-shirt deal. This stripy T was my 2009 find.

Red Birks for Aboriginal adventure tour then we head to the beach for lunch then the Gold Coast outlets at Harbour Town.

Day 182 – half way there

Due to 1 day being lost flying back to Brisbane from America, Day 182 is exactly half way through the year. And there are still plenty of unworn clothes in my wardrobe and countless combinations…luckily!
So to celebrate on this gloriously sunny day, I put on my faithful Gap skinny jeans with a hand-me-down top from my mum in a colour I wouldn’t normally buy. But the brown is warm enough for me to get away with worn with hot pink lippy. We started with fab breakfast at Bang Coffee Bar on the corner of Kirkland and Old Cleveland in Coorparoo (strongly recommend the fruit loaf with banana and ricotta!).

After getting housework done, I put on some shorts and am off to celebrate with my regular Sunday getting-jobs-done reward: $10 roast lunch at Coorparoo Bowls Club.
Couldn’t think of a lovelier way to spend yet another beautiful Brisbane day.

Day 178 – looking for ideas to keep warm!

Was too cold to take my jumper off for a pic sorry! I have a black Gap wrap dress on underneath and I had to explain to my gorgeous photographer that the hole in the side is deliberate for wrapping purposes.
Note to self: in first round of throwing out clothes at end of 2012 start with things with holes in them if people are starting to think it’s normal that my clothes have holes!

Maybe mini carpet bowls could do the trick?

Day 111 – Part 2 – Slipping into Something Slinky

Out for another 40th birthday with one of my dearest friends.
Please note my super-sales shoes purchase! Long Dogstar top with skinny Gap jeans for a relaxed night out.20120420-211403.jpg

Day 110 – Old is New

I bought these pants at Sportsgirl to take to HK in 2004 – perfect teaching pants, I thought. But I had trouble finding good tops to with them and shoes…
Anyway I found them this morning and knew that they hadn’t been worn since I got back to Australia in 2008 and I haven’t worn this top this year so safe on the not worn list! Since my green ballet flats fell apart I have had trouble with my blue pants but I got my silver shoes back from the repair man so things are looking up – once again wardrobe refreshed.

This top a great find from Banana Republic outlet in Austin, Texas.
